“AI.”  Artificial, yes.  Intelligent, no.

This site requires multiple additions, but at the start of 2026, it seems that original research and writing are under attack by “AI.”  Artificial, yes.  Intelligent, no. Yet people look for the simplest, and most obvious choice among potential answers. We have always been groomed by corporations and governments to behave in simplistic manner, for ease of manipulation in driving behavior. Who writes essays on exams now, or for any other purpose? We went to multiple choice exams, and onwards to true/false dichotomies. Now, as if it wasn’t simple enough before, when searching with google or other tools, we are first presented with “AI” overviews, simply another way to cut off our own thinking and selection. The options with which we are presented are, as always, driven by “sponsored” advertising.

If we look to the end game in the not so long future, we find our brains will be less capable of independent thinking, and we will simple de-evolve into a more primitive state.
No longer human appears the goal, as our rulers find less intelligent forms to be more easily maninpulated.

What we must do is to maintain our own thinking for as long as possible. Don’t accept single news sources. Beware trends. Develop our own creativity. Of course, reject all AI overviews, and dig deeper for the truth. Study the Dharma, and put this into action in both our waking and dreaming minds.

Already, personally, I feel restricted, e.g. the post on podcasts. Why bother? seems to be always on our mind. Forget rules of grammar, put a ? wherever you damn want. Write poetry, sculpt clay, paint, be an artist, not a mindless tool. Relax, breathe, dream.

And by all means, use a text editor or a free word processor such as the Apache OpenOffice, before submitting further to restrictive abuse of writing.
